Adapt Your Bodybuilding Routines for Your Body Type

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

It’s fairly obvious that no two humans beings are exactly the same, thus it should come as no surprise that different people need to train in different ways and have different bodybuilding routines. One of the primary factors that will help you become a successful bodybuilder is to understand your own body, to realize what your limits are and to appreciate how your body will react under stress. Therefore in order to make the most of your bodybuilding routines and workouts you must know your body type and understand how it will affect your training.

Scientists have developed a body type classification system based on a number of factors and everybody falls into one of the following three categories (you may fall in-between, as these are quite generalized): endomorph, mesomorph and ectomorph. Once you have established your body type, you can them adjust your bodybuilding routine, training program and lifestyle accordingly. You should also speak to your doctor to get their advice before you start training and to get a check up.

The first category we shall look at is the endomorph body type. Endomorphs usually find it really quite easy to gain muscle mass, but also they find it very easy to put on weight. Thus having a great deal of self discipline is required to control your diet if you’re to be a successful bodybuilder. A great tip for endomorphs is to eat 6 small meals at regular intervals throughout the day to ward off hunger and snacking on junk food. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and don’t eat anything for at least a few hours before going to bed to facilitate fat loss. Endomorphs tend not to have too much difficultly putting on muscle mass, however if you want good definition in your muscles you’ll need to do plenty of cardiovascular training such as running. Doing this should increase your muscular definition by burning off excess fat. If you can, do your cardio training after your weights to burn off even more fat.

The next category we shall look at is the ectomorph body type. These are people who are generally tall, thin and have long arms and legs; they naturally have virtually no fat. Most ectomorphs often find themselves in endurance sports such as x-country running or athletics (high jump), however they can and do also become professional bodybuilders. The main thing that ectomorphs need to do is to start eating more of the right healthy foods, thus increasing the calorie intake to put on weight and build muscle. They should focus on weight training as opposed to cardio vascular training and train to failure so you can’t lift the last weight of a set. Make sure that you’re lifting weights at least 3-4 days a week, with a rest day between sessions to allow optimum recovery and muscle growth.

The final category are the mesomorphs, which fall in between the other two categories and are often the envy of the other two body types, as mesomorphs find it easy to build muscle and keep off fat. However, this can often lead to a false sense of security as having this mindset leads to missed training sessions, which eventually catches up with them. If you are a mesomorph just starting bodybuilding, don’t change the amount you eat, but eat healthier and make sure you are eating enough protein to facilitate muscle growth. Mix up your training sessions to incorporate both full body work out sessions and those to target specific muscle groups to improve definition.

It doesn’t matter what your body type is if you want to be a successful bodybuilder, just adjust your training routines and your eating habits accordingly. Be dedicated and passionate and you will achieve your goals.

How Do You View Debt

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

Are you loaded down with debt? Do you feel like there is no way out? Have you ever thought that how you view debt might be the problem?

Every aspect of your life, at some point, you wanted. You say “I didn’t want the debt”, but you wanted the thing that came along with the debt, or whatever you exchanged for the debt; maybe it was a house, the car or the car repairs, the clothes.

Debt was just a way to live a certain dream – a means to an end – a way for you to get to your dream faster. Now granted, it may not have been a well planned out dream, but it was a dream just the same.

Think about a debt you have, no matter how big or small. What did you get for that debt? Think about it.

You received something in return for the debt – an equal exchange – but right now, you think what you received was far less than the debt you now carry around.

Think back before the debt, back to the point where you wanted that particular thing, where no debt was too great just as long as you got what you wanted.

Back then you didn’t think what you were receiving was small. Actually you thought the deal was pretty fair, or else you wouldn’t have entered into the debt to begin with. For the most part you not only thought it was fair, but that you got the far better deal!

What has debt done for you?

Most will say nothing, or made me angry, or made me have a horrible ulcer worrying about it, but what has debt really done for you? It allowed you some comfort!!

For some people debt allowed an extra night of sleep knowing they could pay the mortgage on time. For some it was to be able to purchase a home. For others, it was the ability to feed their kids when they had no cash, buy gas, or hold them over till it was payday…For some it was Christmas gifts, but you fast forward a few years, and now this same debt is a horrible thing. Amazing how time changes our perception of things.

Take away the debt you are complaining about, and remember the GIFT this debt brought with it. How different would your life be right now without that?

How has time and thought changed the meaning of your debts?

Cricket World Cup 2007 – Possible Semi Final Line Up

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

True to the Onedayers’ Cricket Team Rankings the first 6 teams (Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka and Ireland) made it to the second round (in sharp contrast to only 4 out of top 6 teams in ICC Rankings) with 2 teams Pakistan (7th) and India (8th) getting replaced by other teams.

The rankings hold true even in the Semi Final line up, and 4 Teams from 1-5 rankings (Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka) to make the next round. Most like a toss up between England and Sri Lanka, with possibly Sri Lanka going through since Jayasuriya is passing through a very special period. Most likely even the lineup order would remain the same as the rankings.

This all points to a question, whether the ICC Ranking system holds true? They didn’t even acknowledge that a team called Ireland could be ranked, whereas, we have Ireland at No. 6 in the Onedayers.com ranking!! ICC gives high ranking to India and Pakistan (in the top 6) whereas their rating was at 7 and 8 (at the edge of qualification).

Onedayers.com ranking system is based on the ranking of the players who represent the country in the previous year, and the performance of each one of them counts. Which means a failed try would also be counted as much as a successful debut, and each team member would need to contribute before the team can be ranked high. I would surely like your comments about what you think of all this? Do post your comments right here.

Secured Personal Loans – Benefits Reloaded

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

There are different reasons why secured personal loans are so popular in England and people here prefer to go for secured personal loans over other kinds of loans. Some of the main reasons why people opt for personal loans are:
Complete or partial renovation of home
Financing the education of children
Consolidating existing loans
And also as bridge loans in times of emergency

What are secured personal loans?

Secured personal loans are nothing but loans which you can avail by placing a valuable asset as collateral with the lender. In simple terms, it means you need to secure an asset (that has equal or more value as that of the amount you take as loan) with the lender. This secured asset would guarantee that you would pay back the lender the entire sum of the loaned amount plus the interest rising thereof.

If in case you fail to repay the loaned amount or the interest, the lender has the right to seize your asset. But this should not scare you as you can easily avoid it by paying your EMI on time each month.

Online secured personal loans

With the competition in the online lending ambit getting stiffer with each day, you can easily find a secured personal loan deal that offers you easy terms and conditions. Even the period of repayment is quite flexible these days. You can frame the time period with your lender as per your convenience.

Usually, in case of secured personal loan, lenders give a lot of flexibility to the borrower. This is due to the fact that they have a security from you in the shape of your asset. Plus, with the kind of offers and promotional measures you can find online these days, you would surely get something that would be quite comfortable for you to repay back.

Now all you have to do is click on secured personal loans and research through all the options you get from a wide variety of lenders. Go for the one that best meets all your requirements and also provides some benefits to you.

The Olympic Games and the Gathering of Nations

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

One of the greatest things that human civilizations do is to get together for the Olympic Games every four years. It builds global unity and gives nations a sense of belonging to the whole of humanity. More than that it gives nations there own National Identity on the World Stage and allows them to rejoice in the spirit of nationalism themselves.

The Olympics gather up the greatest humans with the greatest ability and agility and test them against fellow man to see who claims top honors and genetics in athletic ability of all the Planet. There is probably no greater contest of strength and will all put together in one place than the Olympic Games.

Why does the United States win so many metals at the Olympic Games? Well, some would say it is due to the 300-million people we have to draw from for all the various categories and competitions. Others like me feel it is for the same reason that the United States dominates the modern Tour de France and that is because Americans are a cut above and winners by birth and identity.

The upcoming Olympic Games will test to see if American Athletes still hold the top honors and abilities as in previous years. Will they take more hardware than the other nations or will other emerging nations show they strength against the best athletes the world over. Watch and see say analysts and Olympic Game organizers. Consider all this in 2006.

Filing Extensions, Getting Rid of Penalties, and Getting An Installment Agreement

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

At this late stage of the tax filing game, I would like to make an observation and offer some advice on extensions and installment agreements. My friends, I appreciate your reading of my articles and appreciate your listener ship of my radio program, “Better Business”. Let me return the favor and offer you some more free income tax advice.

If you are going to owe money, don’t put your return on extension thinking this will give you more time to pay. If you don’t have the money to pay, fill out an installment request, form 9465, and attach it to your 1040 by April 16 (April 17 for some of you lucky taxpayers). The Internal Revenue Service will accept this installment agreement without consideration providing the tax due is paid within a three year period. Your state and local governments will also accept this form for the most part. For example, if you owe $5,000 on your federal return, but can only send $1,000; fill out form 9465 to reflect this. You will then be able to get a term loan over the next three years to pay the remaining balance due. You will be asked to select a time frame, a monthly amount, and a time each month you would like to make the payment. Be realistic by choosing a payment you can afford, but pay it off as soon as possible.

The next issue I would like to discuss with you involves federal form 4868. This is the automatic extension request giving you until October 15, 2007 to file your 2006 income tax return. The old rules gave a taxpayer until August 15th to file the return, allowing for an additional extension until October 15th with more involved circumstances. If you are going to owe money and have it to pay but are waiting for more information to complete your return, complete form 4868 by showing the total expected income tax due less any withholding and estimated payments. The balance remaining is what should be sent with the extension request. If you are one of those taxpayers making estimated tax payments each quarter, combine your estimate with the mount you expect to owe. Using our example above suppose your total liability for 2006 is expected to be $20,000. You have made estimates totaling $15,000 during the year leaving you with a balance due of $5,000. If you project that you will need to make estimates of $4,000 each quarter for 2007, show your expected tax liability for 2006 to be $24,000 ($20,000 actual expected tax due plus the first quarter estimate for 2007). Subtract from this balance the $15,000 in estimated payments you have made during the 2006 tax year, and show a balance due of $9,000 on form 4868. Send this $9,000 in with your extension request. This will keep you from having to file a separate estimated coupon (form 1040ES) and will give you additional protection against penalty. For example, assume that your estimate of $20,000 in total tax for 2006 is low by $2,000. You will now have enough paid in to cover any penalty and interest charge. The remaining balance of $2,000 from your extension payment of $9,000 will be applied to your 2007 estimates by electing so on your 1040. You can then make up any short fall for 2007 by making more estimated payments or increasing withholding from your pay. I think this is very clever.

The final thing I would like to mention to you in this article deals with under estimated tax penalties. There are three essential ways to avoid paying this underestimated penalty. The first way is to pay in 100% of your previous year’s income tax (110% if your adjusted gross income for the previous year is $150,000 or more). The next way is to pay in at least 90% of the current year’s income tax liability. You will need to make an income change consideration in order to determine which method to use. For instance, if you had abnormally high income in the previous year (i.e., a one time realization of capital gains), it will not make sense to base your current year’s estimate on last year’s income tax liability. It would make more sense to project 90% of your current year’s expected liability. The final way to avoid penalty is to consider annualizing your income. Suppose you had a big capital gain in December and you owe money because of this. If you do not annualize your income, the Internal Revenue will assume that the gain was earned equally throughout the year. This could cause a penalty. To avoid this, fill out form 2210 and elect to annualize your income. Put your capital gain in the fourth quarter of 2006 where it belongs, and eliminate all or a portion of any penalty. For those of you using one of the tax software programs, this will be an easy calculation.

As always, if you need any help with anything mentioned in this or other articles, please do not hesitate to contact me. I wish to help everyone in the world with there stress over income taxes.

E-banking (Online Banking) and Its role in Today’s Society

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

The world is changing at a staggering rate and technology is considered to be the key driver for these changes around us (Papers4you.com, 2006). An analysis of technology and its uses show that it has permeated in almost every aspect of our life. According to Tero et al (2004) many activities are handled electronically due the acceptance of information technology at home as well as at workplace. Internet can be seen as a truly global phenomenon that has made time and distance irrelevant to many transactions. According to Heikki et al. (2002), the transformation from the traditional banking towards e-banking has been a ‘leap’ change.

The evolution of electronic banking started from the use of automatic teller machines (ATM) and has passed through telephone banking, direct bill payment, electronic fund transfer and the revolutionary online banking (Alter, 2002). The future of electronic banking according to some is the acceptance of WAP enabled banking and interactive-TV banking (Petrus & Nelson, 2006). But it has been forecasted that among all the categories, online banking is the future of electronic financial transactions. The rise in the e-commerce and the use of internet in its facilitation along with the enhanced online security of transactions and sensitive information has been the core reasons for the penetration of online banking in everyday life (Papers4you.com, 2006). According to the latest official figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS, 2006) indicate that subscriptions to the internet has grown more than 50% from 15 million in 2000 to 35 million in 2005 in the UK. It has also been estimated that 60% of the population in the UK use internet in their daily lives.

The fundamental shift towards the involvement of the customer in the financial service provision with the help of technology especially internet has helped in reduce costs of financial institutions as well as helped client to use the service at anytime and from virtually anywhere with access to an internet connection. According to theorists (Walfried et al., 2005) customer evaluation of the electronic services is influenced by attributions of success and failure in inter personal service situations. The use of electronic banking has removed the banking personnel that facilitate the transactions and has placed additional responsibilities on the customers to transact with the service. Although the use of E-banking is provided for the benefit of the customers but these changes require increased work or involvement on the part of customers. These and other factors might be seen as lesser service provided in terms of customer service. But these assumptions would be wrong if the customer knows the value of using the electronic service.

Thus it can be concluded that a fit between task i.e. the banking; technology i.e. the user interface and its reliability; and individuals i.e. the customers and their knowledge about using the service, is the key to successful E-banking services (Zigurs & Buckland, 1998).

Archery Warm-Ups For Improving Performance And Reducing Injuries: Part I

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

There is a beautiful archery range nestled in a small canyon inside San Diego’s
Balboa Park. I have enjoyed shooting my bow there on a regular basis for several
years now, and I have had a chance to observe many archers of various styles of
shooting as they prepare themselves physically for a round. Typically, this
preparation involves a few windmills with their arms, maybe a couple of stretches,
and then they begin firing away at the practice bales. Sometimes there is no warm-
up whatsoever. Many archers simply draw their bow a few times. To be honest, it’s
hard for me to watch. It hurts my elbows and shoulders just thinking about drawing
my bow without a proper warm-up. An adequate warm-up is critically important in
the prevention of injuries, and it may even be a factor in your success as an accurate
shooter.

Before every round I spend a few minutes performing a series of simple movements
in order to be properly warm and ready to effectively shoot my bow. Occasionally I’ll
get a few funny glances, and sometimes people politely ask me questions like: How
long does your warm-up take? Or, does it help you to shoot better? I answer these
questions by saying that it only takes me five or six minutes to warm-up and yes, I
think that a proper warm-up helps me to perform better, especially at the beginning
of my round or practice session. Occasionally, during conversations with other
archers, I hear about the injuries many of them are struggling with—most of which
involve the shoulder and elbow joints. It is my experience that most of these minor
injuries can be traced back to an improper or insufficient warm-up.

The central purpose of warming up your body before shooting your bow is to speed
up your heart rate, raise your core body temperature, increase suppleness of the
muscles and joints, and stimulate blood flow throughout your body. This in turn will
help prevent injuries and may even boost performance. It also signals to your body
that it is time to perform. This will help focus your mind on the task in front of you.
During your warm-up period is the perfect time to be thinking about your shot
routine as well as your goals for the round. I am a strong believer in goal setting
and am convinced of its power to drive superior performance. A proper warm-up
routine, where you’re preparing both your body and your mind, will help you
perform at your best. Furthermore, you can be sure that you will be prepared to
place your first arrow on target.

Tips for College Students – What Your Mother Didn’t Tell You

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

Upon entering college I quickly realized that there were many things I needed to know that mom and dad forgot to teach me. I am certain that thousands of other college students were (and are) in that exact same predicament I was in. While I’m certainly not your mother, I trust that you will benefit greatly from what I’m about to tell you.

I cannot cover everything a student needs to know before entering college in a short article like this, but I will give an overview of a few things that I consider to be very important: money management, finding financial aid, cooking, and managing your time.

Money Management:

I only have 3 money management tips, so listen carefully:

1- Create your budget. I know it’s hard at first but it’ll really reduce financial tension. If you don’t even know where to start, explore the internet or ask your friends or parents to help you.

2- Never spend more than you make. If you are spending more than you are earning you either need to increase your income or reduce your expenses. There are hundreds of ways to reduce your expenses, but you may need to get creative.

3- Pay your bills on time. Just do it. Don’t get deeper in debt than you have to.

Obtaining Financial Aid:

Scholarships, grants and loans are you finance options. Scholarships can be found at the school you are planning to attend, on the internet, through clubs, businesses, and organizations.

The most popular way to obtain a grant is through the government. In order to do this you must fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Fill out this application on the internet or in your financial aid office.

You have two options for student loans: Federal and alternative student loans. The Stafford, Perkins, and Parent PLUS loans are a few examples of Federal loans. A private loan may be taken out through a financial institutions.

College Cooking:

You don’t have to be a chef to be able to cook. There are plenty of simple recipes that anyone can put together. In fact, loads of recipe books have been written specifically for college students! You ought to consider acquiring one of these recipe books.

When you don’t feel like getting out the recipe book all you have to do is look at the food you have, decide what items would taste good together, and toss them into a pot or frying pan. Most meals are meat based with vegetables and sometimes noodles or rice.

Time Management:

Here are my tips for managing your time:

1. Prioritize- As long as you get the really important things done, nothing else matters.

2. Schedule- Everyone needs a different kind of schedule. Try out different schedules to determine what works best for you. Without a schedule the majority of college students end up loafing, being pulled away by friends or distracted by events and consequently, getting behind in their studies.

3. Follow the Schedule- When you’re in class, BE in class. Don’t dose off or daydream. If the teacher is really boring, do homework for a different class. When it’s time to study, study. Don’t stare out the library window for 45 minutes. When it’s time to relax (and you definitely need to take time to relax), relax. Do what you need to do when you need to do it.
